Members of the Momentum Medical Scheme are granted complimentary access to Multiply Inspire, with the option to upgrade to Multiply Inspire Plus for a nominal fee starting at R195 per month. This upgrade allows members to earn enhanced rewards and increased HealthReturns. It is important to note that on Multiply Inspire Plus, members can accumulate HealthReturns amounting to 40% of their medical aid contributions, while those on Multiply Inspire can earn up to 10%. This quiz will generate your Lifestyle Score, enabling you to begin accumulating HealthReturns in your HealthSaver account. Once you complete the quiz, you will have a three-month window to finish your health assessment, which will secure your HealthReturns for a period of 12 months.
Additionally, opting to complete a fitness assessment can significantly boost the HealthReturns you are eligible to earn. You have the choice of conducting an online fitness assessment, with results that remain valid for six months, or an in-person fitness assessment, which has a validity of twelve months. For those under the age of 40 and without any health risks, there is the option to perform a digital health screening and digital fitness screening through the app. The Healthy Heart Score and fitness level obtained from these screenings are valid for three months, allowing you to immediately access the highest partner rewards based on your scores. The digital health screening is valid for a full year, while the digital fitness screening is valid for three months. The digital health screening only needs to be conducted once annually unless we require you to repeat it based on your results. The digital fitness screening is a one-time requirement that counts once per calendar year.
Moreover, you can increase your HealthReturns by achieving a Weekly Win by meeting your Active Dayz goal for the week. An active day is recorded when you either log 10,000 steps in a single day or burn 300 calories in one exercise session, using a Multiply-approved fitness device or one of the sanctioned apps. • Amber-Red: Effort Required - Strong action is needed to address cardiovascular disease risk factors.

Members under the age of 40, who do not have chronic conditions and achieved a Lifestyle Score of 3 or higher on the Lifestyle Quiz, can opt for a digital health assessment instead of a more comprehensive in-person assessment. However, if the digital health assessment results in an Amber, Amber-Red, or Red score, members will be required to undergo an in-person health assessment and will not earn HealthReturns until this is completed.
Let’s discuss Recharge Dayz in more detail. Your sleep recovery and stress levels are evaluated through a quick finger scan on the Momentum app. If multiple scans are conducted before 8:00 AM, the result from the last scan will be used to assess your eligibility for a recharge day. The Recharge Score reflects your physical and emotional readiness to tackle daily challenges. This score considers your sleep recovery and body stress by measuring heart rate variability (HRV), indicating whether your body is under strain and needs additional mental recovery and rest. Your Recharge Score is derived from a screening test within the Multiply app. If you achieve a good score (Healthy or Super Healthy), you will earn a recharge day. Accumulating your target number of Recharge Dayz will help you achieve a Recharge Goal. Should your Recharge Score be low, we will provide resources such as the Digital Coach tool and partners like Calm to assist you in maintaining your mental and physical well-being.
We also aim to support members in adhering to chronic treatment plans. The wellness management program is designed to equip you with the necessary tools and incentives to effectively manage your wellness. Chronic compliance is only essential if you are registered in a chronic management program or if we request additional testing based on your health assessment results. This includes claiming for chronic medication for all conditions listed under the Prescribed Minimum Benefit Chronic Disease List for which you are registered, as well as managing your lifestyle to achieve targeted chronic condition management outcomes as outlined by the chronic management program. This may also involve undergoing additional pathology tests, if required. Once Momentum Medical Scheme receives the results of these tests, you will be deemed compliant, and a revised Healthy Heart Score will be calculated based on the outcomes of the pathology tests.
Multiply Kids Fitness Assessment
The Multiply kids fitness assessment is available to all members enrolled in Multiply Inspire and Inspire Plus. For Inspire Plus members on the Incentive, Extender, and Summit Options, this assessment is free if completed in conjunction with the parent’s fitness assessment.
This assessment provides insights into a child’s developmental progress and identifies areas for improvement. Rewards are based on participation rather than outcomes, and parents receive recommendations on how to enhance or maintain their child’s health.
Parents not enrolled in Inspire Plus or the aforementioned options can opt for the assessment at a cost of R250, which also applies if a child undergoes a second fitness assessment.
The assessment varies by age, with one designed for children aged 7-11 and another for those aged 12-17. Upon completion of the assessment, children will receive a Nu Metro movie voucher as a reward. Additionally, parents will earn R50 per month in HealthReturns for a full year based on their child’s participation, regardless of the outcomes.
How You Earn HealthReturns
HealthReturns can be earned through several activities, including:

Where to Spend HealthReturns
Funds from the booster balance can be utilized for medical expenses at healthcare providers and at select health-approved retailers, facilitating your health and wellness journey. A comprehensive list of these retailers is available at multiply.co.za.
If you do not possess a HealthSaver account, you will not be able to earn HealthReturns. Multiply will accumulate HealthReturns for three months and will disburse them once your HealthSaver account is activated. If your HealthSaver account is not activated during this timeframe, all accumulated HealthReturns will be forfeited. In the event that your HealthSaver account is suspended, we will continue to accumulate HealthReturns for three months, allowing you time to reinstate the account; after this period, HealthReturns will be forfeited. All HealthReturns credited to your HealthSaver will be maintained in a HealthReturns Booster balance, which will be forfeited if you terminate your Momentum Medical Scheme membership or your HealthSaver account.
