Here is an overview of the modifications to Momentum’s supplementary products for the year 2025
As a member, you have the opportunity to take advantage of a variety of additional products offered by Momentum Group Limited and its subsidiaries, as well as Momentum Multiply, which will be collectively referred to as Momentum throughout this document. It is important to note that Momentum does not operate as a medical scheme and is distinct from Momentum Medical Scheme. The products provided by Momentum should not be considered as medical scheme benefits. You can maintain your membership with Momentum Medical Scheme independently of the products available from Momentum.
Momentum GapCover
For 2025, Momentum GapCover has undergone a reorganization, resulting in two distinct options: GapCover Supreme and GapCover Primary. Members now have the flexibility to select between GapCover Primary, which is designed to be more budget-friendly, and GapCover Supreme, which offers a broader range of benefits. This restructuring allows members to choose the coverage that best fits their financial situation and health needs.
Momentum HealthSaver
In a significant change, Momentum HealthSaver will no longer impose a limit of two transactional cards per contract. This enhancement provides members with greater access and convenience. Additionally, members without a valid South African ID document can now apply for a HealthSaver Card using their passport, making the application process more inclusive. Furthermore, when members apply for a new Momentum HealthSaver with credit, the amount of credit granted upfront will be calculated on a pro-rated basis, depending on the number of months left in the calendar year. This change aims to streamline the process and ensure that members receive fair credit based on their specific situation.
Momentum Multiply
This year, Momentum Multiply has significantly enhanced the value it provides to its members by transitioning from a conventional loyalty program to one that actively encourages and rewards healthy behaviors. One of the key features introduced is a digital health and fitness assessment available to all members, emphasizing the importance of understanding one’s health as a foundational step toward improvement.
Another exciting addition is Wysa, an emotionally intelligent chatbot designed to support members in their mental wellness journey. Wysa serves as an AI-powered companion that engages members in meaningful conversations about their feelings and challenges. It offers support through evidence-based techniques and strategies, as well as access to a variety of self-help resources. These include mood trackers, journaling prompts, and guided exercises centered around cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. Wysa is designed to be private, user-friendly, and accessible 24/7 via the Momentum App under the Multiply section, ensuring that members have support whenever they need it.
By utilizing data and personalized insights, Momentum Multiply will continue to provide tailored recommendations and rewards that align with each member's health goals. This personalized approach makes it easier for members to stay motivated and successfully achieve their wellness objectives. Moreover, individual members will have the opportunity to use their earned rewards to help cover their monthly medical scheme contributions, effectively allowing them to leverage their health achievements to maintain the necessary coverage.
Additionally, Momentum Multiply has expanded its portfolio by partnering with four new prominent brands: Ultrahuman, Puma, Multiply Padel, and Travelstart. These partnerships are designed to enhance the overall value and experience for members.
